How group billing works
One team in the group is the primary team. Its subscription stays active and covers every other team in the group. Your plan tier is based on the total subscribed contacts across all grouped teams. This is less expensive than paying for separate subscriptions, because one higher tier costs less than several lower ones. For example, if Team A has 4,000 subscribed contacts and Team B has 3,000, the group is billed for one plan that fits 7,000 contacts rather than two separate plans. There is no limit to the number of teams in a billing group.Free teams
Free teams can join a billing group. Once grouped, they get all paid plan features, including:- No Loops branding in emails
- No monthly sending cap
- Paid sending rate limits
Billing dates
A billing group is billed on the primary team’s billing date. Joining a group doesn’t change this date. Like all Loops plans, the tier is calculated at renewal. When a team joins the group, its subscribed contacts are added to the primary team’s subscription from the primary team’s next renewal. If a team joining the group already has its own paid subscription, that subscription is canceled. We’ll work out any remaining time on it with you when setting up the group.Set up group billing

Subscribe one of your teams
Start a paid subscription on one of your teams from its Billing page. This team becomes the primary team. If one of your teams already has a paid subscription, you can skip this step.
